Ashanta Latrice Williams Hoffman (Noonie), transitioned to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2024. The Lord called her home at the age of 33 to live eternally and she gladly accepted the invitation. Her life's journey began on March 6, 1991, in New Orleans, LA to her loving mother America Lee Williams and father Sean Johnson.
Ashanta was a very beautiful, loving, and outspoken young lady. She was very funny and possessed a huge caring heart. She would give her last to anyone who needed help. She always kept a sweet smile on her face and was the life of the party. Noonie kept everyone on their toes with laughter.

Ashanta also had many fur babies whom she loved very much. She cared for her 2 dogs, Bones and Prince, and her cat Baby. Noonie's pets were like her children. They made her happy and brought life into her home.
She completed O. Perry Walker High School and graduated from Blue Cliff College. She majored in Medical Assistance. She was a certified bartender and was last employed by Le Bayou. She always kept numerous jobs throughout her adult life.

Ashanta was preceded in death by her grandmother, the late Eloise County Williams, aunts, Alice County and Gilda Paige, uncle, Alex Williams, niece, Tru Williams, and a host of cousins.
She leaves to cherish her memories with her mother America Williams and father Sean Johnson. Her brother, Tyrone Williams, sister, Ijanae Williams, nephew, Tre Williams, nieces, Sariyah Bell, and Trinity Williams. She is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and devoted friends.
Ashanta will be missed greatly by her loved ones.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at New Zion Family Worship Center located at 5040 Taravella Road, Marrero LA. The visitation will begin at 9:30AM followed by a 10AM service. Pastor Cornell Bridges will officiate.
