Arthur Joseph Jones

Arthur Joseph "Fish" Jones transitioned peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday October 14, 2025, at Villa Feliciana Nursing Home in Jackson LA. He was 66 years old and a native and lifelong resident of Port Sulphur LA. Beloved son of Doris Ann Williams Mackey and the late Albert Jones Sr. Brother of Albert Jones Jr. (Debbie), Randy Williams Sr. (Cynthia), Perry Jones Sr. (Lachella), Clyde Jones Sr. (Tammy), Zena Jones, Aaron Jones (Cassandra), Colleen Barthelemy (Keith) and the late Alfred Williams, Denise Ganier and Jay Ardoin. Grandson of the late Allen and Margaret Williams and the late Richard and Alexandrine Jones. Devoted friend of Keith Turner, Germaine Reagan, Milton Antoine and Kirk Ingraham. Nephew of Agnes Encalade and Lois Tate. Great nephew of Eunice Williams. Fish is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Fish was previously employed at Eddie's Oyster House in Port Sulphur and was well known as the "community roustabout" who was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and his community in any way possible, no matter how big or small task.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday October 24, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28698 LA-23, Port Sulphur LA. 70083. The visitation will begin at 9AM followed by an 11AM mass. Father Lawrence will officiate, and interment will follow in Barthelemy Cemetery in Diamond LA.
