Archie Haygood

Archie Sonny Haygood (Blue), a native of Camden, Arkansas who relocated to Boothville, La then to Gonzales, La After-Hurricane Katrina. He Departed this life at his home with his loving family by his bed side on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the age of 81. He was a retired Bar Owner and Tug Boat Captain. Son of the late V.C. and Gertie Mae D. Haygood. Devoted Husband of Paula Ann Williams Haygood. Beloved Father of Charlotte Taylor (Nathan Jr), Russell Haygood (Wendy), Rashonda Haygood, Nina Haygood (Mervin III), and the Late Undra Haygood. He was also guardian of NaQuan Haygood. Brother of Gloria Robinson (Glen), Levoyie, Barbara and Charles Haygood and the late Debra Haygood. Son in law of Eunice Williams and the late Emmette Williams Sr. Brother in law of Glen Robinson, Emmette Williams (Faith), Charlotte Turner, Elliott Williams (Vanessa), Eric Williams (Joann), Cheyenne Taylor (Late Kirk), Patricia Williams, Christopher Williams (Gina), Carlton Williams (Lorraine), John Williams and the late Nedra Williams. Archie is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 4 God Children as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend a celebration of Sonny's life on Friday July 5, 2024 at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611 La-23, Belle Chasse, La 70037. Visitation will begin at 9:30am., and the service will begin at 11 a.m. Rev Elroy Mackey will officiate and entombment will be Camden, Arkansas at Shady Grove Cemetery, Ouachita County .
