Anthony Garrison Obituary

Anthony Eric Garrison, (also known as Big Pimp), entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Anthony was a lifelong resident of Oakville, Louisiana. Anthony was born on September 2, 1969, to the late Oscar Garrison, Sr. and Veraldine Garrison.
Through marriage to Christie Williams, Anthony was the devoted and loving father of the late Asia Garrison; stepfather of Shambriel (Clifton) Bartholomew and the grandfather of Markhi and Caylie Batholomew.
Nephew of Steve (Charlotte) Turner, Lana (Benjamin, Sr.) Jones, Jacquelyn Littleton, Benjamin Jr., Jeffery Turner, Gloria Bougere, Paula (Roger) Ancar, Geraldine Garrison, and Doris Turner, and the late; Raymund Hart, Henry, Ellery, Errol (Annie) and Gaynell Turner, Shirley William and O'Malley (Jane) and Richard Garrison.
Anthony will be sadly missed by his devoted friends, George Wallace, Dawand Smith, Sr., Matthew Wallace, Melvin Wilson, and Donesia Johnson (who he fondly referred to as Red Bean).
He was the godson of the late Ernest and Shirley Tucker. He was the godfather of Stefon McKinney and John Fortmayer.
Anthony attended Belle Chasse High School. He was employed at Lil G's Restaurant for over ten years. He also worked for 2 Brotha and a Sista's Lawn Service with his nephew Errol Ragas, and Auto Body Shop 23. Anthony enjoyed boiling seafood for family and friends and listening to old school music. His favorite songs were "Down Home Blues" and "Walking the Dog". He was the life of the party. Anthony was a die-hard Saints Fan. For Anthony, it was the simple moments that brought the deepest joy-sitting on the porch with his cousin George and the fellows, talking smack, or sitting in his backyard alongside Tommy Morris. These moments were times of happiness for him.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his siblings, Chenelle (Walter) Ragas, Oscar Garrison, Jr., Bertha Barthelemy, and Lisa (Larry Rowan); his stepdaughter and grandchildren; nine nieces, six nephews, 13 great-nieces, 12 great-nephews, four great- great nieces, one great-great nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, one daughter, one brother-in-law, one niece, one nephew, one sister-in-law, four aunts, and eight uncles.
