Anna Warren Obituary

Anna Laura Cloniger Warren, a devoted wife, beloved mother, loving grandmother & great grandmother, caring sister, affectionate aunt, and wonderful friend, entered into eternal rest at the age of 91, on May 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was an exceptional woman, a devoted Christian, and a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church of New Orleans.

Anna Laura graced this world in Knoxville, Tennessee on July 30, 1932, as the daughter of the late Mary Gladys Smelser Cloniger Brechtel and the late Charles James Cloniger. She was a long-time resident of Plaquemines Parish for the past 69 years.

She had a strong passion for working with children. She taught 4-year-old children at Carol's Cottage for Children for 26 years. She was happiest when she was helping others. The most important thing to her was our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her family. For those of you who had the pleasure of being part of her life, she always left a lasting impression on you that would never be forgotten.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Paul Emmett Warren (Red), her parents, brother Charles Vernon Cloniger and nephew August Joseph (Pat) Burmaster (Laurie).
Anna Laura leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughters Joyce Warren Kiff (Melvin), Sandy Jean Warren, sisters Mary Elizabeth Cloniger Burmaster (AJ), Wanda Bucklew (Albert), Anna Smith (Kenneth "Tyke"), brother David Cloniger (Tina), granddaughters Wendy Laurie Kiff (predeceased by Bryan), Shelley Kiff Marque (Robert), grandson Russell Thomas (Rusty) Landry, great-granddaughter Nicole Navarre Hunt (Coleman), great-grandson Caleb Paul Lester, niece Karen Lynne Carter (GJ), great-nieces Aeli Carter, Jordan Carter, Anna Carter, great-nephews Justin Burmaster, Matthew Burmaster, great-grandson Richard Howard Marque (Melanie), great-great-grandchildren Ava Kate Marque and Maverick Greyson Marque, her grandson in love Ian Decareaux and other beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
II Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have loved for his appearing.

Relatives, friends of the family and employees of Heart of Hospice are welcome to attend her Celebration of Life at Calvary Baptist Church located at 2401 Gen De Gaulle Drive, New Orleans, La 70114 On June 13, 2024, at 10:00am.
