Angela Louise (Wade) Johnson

Angela Louise Wade Johnson “Mickey” entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. She was a native of New Orleans, LA, and a resident of Westwego, LA.  She is the daughter of the late Dumas Wade Sr., and Josefa Neri Wade.     

She is the loving wife of the late John Paul Johnson.  Devoted mother of Kenneth R. Wade, D ‘Andrea Wade, John Pierre Wade, Justin Wade (Patrice), Janay Wade, and Jasmine Moreno.  She is the grandmother of 13 grandchildren, Kaydra Williams, Destiny Davis, Malik Wade, D'Arie, D'Iren Wade, Jayron Wade, Aniyah Wade, Kylie Wade, Nathalie Moreno, Gabriela Raygoza, Dylan Bingham, Ricaro Moreno and Aniese Marleny.  Sister of D’Andrea Biagas (Michael), Sybil Wade Wilson, Kenneth A. Wade (Patranella), Tammie M. Wade (Rene), Shirley M. Roberson, Rhonda L. Wade, Kenneth A. Wade, Tammy Wade (sister-in-law) and Robert Little, (June Bug), three godchildren, Tasha Roberson, Gabriel Morgan and Faith Bradley.  Also left to cherish her memory is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Paul Johnson, her parents Dumas Wade Sr., Josefa Neri Wade and her 2 brothers, Clyde Percy and Dumas Wade Jr. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services on Friday, March 19, 2021, at New Hope Baptist Church located at 434 7th St., Gretna, LA 70053, at 10 a.m.  The limited visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.  Bishop Tyrone Washington officiating and interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery, 3540 US-90, Avondale, LA. 

Due to COVID – 19, attendance will be limited.  It is MANDATORY that everyone in attendance wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
