Angela Broussard

Angela Scarborough Broussard Bolden departed this life into the arms of the Father on December 1, 2022, at the age of 67. She was born on May 17, 1955, to Joan Elliott and the late Lewis Scarborough in Winchester, Virginia. Due to her father’s service in the army, the Scarborough’s moved around a lot and settled in Junction City, KS where Angela attended Junction City High School and later attended Kansas University. She moved to New Orleans, LA in 1979 and has called it home ever since. She met and later married Gary Bolden in May of 2021.
She is survived by her husband Gary Bolden, her two children Brandi Broussard Burl (Graylin, Jr.) and Brandon C. Broussard (Qiana), her three grandchildren Baleigh, Brooklynn and Braelynn Broussard, her mother Joan Elliott. Her sisters, Deborah Williams (Joseph) and Lois Pruitt (John), niece Natalie Wyatt (Aaron) and nephew John Michael Pruitt. Her bonus children Kema Matthews (Jeff, Sr.), Keeva Nichols (Roger), Kirk Friloux, Aaron Friloux (Kimberly), Gary Bolden, Jr. and Keri Bolden and a host of other relatives and beloved friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Mount Airy Baptist Church, 13635 Old Spanish Trail, Boutte, LA 70039. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and service will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery & Mausoleum, 3540 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094.
