December 6, 1947 - April 8, 2026. With hearts full of love and gratitude, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Aline Maria Thompson Cosse', who left this world peacefully on April 8, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. She was a beacon of kindness, a wellspring of wisdom, and the heart of our home. Born in Happy Jack, LA., Aline lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and grace. She devoted herself to her family, nurturing not only her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren but everyone fortunate enough to be touched by her warmth. Her laughter could brighten the darkest day, and her gentle counsel guided us through life's storms. Aline had a gift for finding beauty in the simplest moments - a blooming garden, a shared meal, a quiet conversation. She believed in the power of love to heal, and she lived that truth every day. Her legacy is one of generosity, unwavering faith, and the countless lives she enriched. She leaves behind to cherish her memories...her husband, Jimmy Cosse'. Her children, Wanda Alexis-Barthelemy (Mike), the late Douglas Alexis, Jr. (Keena), Barry Alexis (Akera), and Holly Alexis-Espadron (Radley). Her grandchildren: Stephanie, Lil Mike, Alexis, Lil Mac, Dominique, Dallas, Lil Barry, and Hanna. Her great-grandchildren: Tyson, Serenity, Violet, Blayke, Haylee, Baby Lilly, and Baby Jessie. Her siblings, Madeline Roberts and Garland "Gil" Phillips. Her Aunt, Mary Jane Rodi, and her loving, devoted, dear "Pal", Alma Alexis. Her godchildren, Kimberly Sylve, Matthew Alexis, Hillarie Ancar, Jody Ancar, Shawn Reeg, and Kelly Thompson and a host of family and friends. Aline was preceded in death by her parents, William J. Thompson, Jr and Elizabeth "Jolena" Barthelemy Thompson, her brothers, Malcolm Thompson, Clyde Phillips, her sister, Monica Thompson, her son Douglas Alexis, Jr., and her godchild, Joseph Alexis, Jr. Our family will carry forward her spirit in the way we love, care, and give. Though we miss her dearly, we take comfort in knowing her light will never fade from our hearts. Rest gently, our dearest Mother. Your love is our forever home.
