Alfred James "Hicks" "Dr. Love" Williams, departed this life peacefully at his home in Port Sulphur LA., surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 9, 2022. He was 62 years old and was a lifelong resident of Port Sulphur and worked as an oyster fisherman.
Beloved son of Doris Williams Mackey and the late August Mackey. Devoted fiance of Donna Chaisson. Stepfather of Darrell, Donnie, and Donald Chaisson. Brother of Albert (Deborah) Jones, Arthur Jones, Aaron (Cassie) Jones, Colleen (Keith Sr.) Barthelemy and the late Denise Ganier. Devoted friend of Willie "T- Will" Lightell, Gene Ragas, Johnell Smith, Malcolm Turner and the late Keith Turner. "Hicks" is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Allen and Margaret Williams.
Relatives and friends of the family, priest and parishioners of St. Patrick Catholic Church and all neighboring churches, Employees of Terry Shelly Oyster House, West Jefferson Oncology, Plaquemines Parish Medical Center, and DNG Transportation are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, December 16, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28698 LA-23, Port Sulphur LA. 70083. The visitation will begin at 9A.M. followed by an 11A.M. mass. Father Gerald Stapleton will celebrate the mass and interment will follow in Barthelemy Cemetery in Diamond LA.
