Alfred William Mackey, Jr

Alfred William Mackey Jr., passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at his home in Tickfaw LA. He was 63 years old and a native of Nairn LA. and a resident of Tickfaw LA. since 2014. He was also a devoted employee of Parish Ready Mix Inc of Walker LA.

Son of the late Alfred Mackey Sr. and the late Gloria Williams Mackey. Beloved husband of Paula Jo Carruthers Mackey. Devoted father of Brandy Mackey, Nicole Mackey, Angela Mackey and the late David Alfred Mackey. Grandfather of Nicolus and Alijah Mackey. Brother of Joseph W. Mackey, Chris Mackey(Jolene), Edward Turner, Grace Demolle(Minister Robert) and the late Felix Mackey(Rose). Alfred is also survived by 2 aunts, 3 uncles, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church located at 39752 Hwy 23, Boothville LA. 70038. The visitation will begin at 9A.M. followed by a 11A.M. service. Dr. Theodore Turner Jr. will officiate and entombment will follow in Mackey Cemetery in Nairn LA.
