Adrian Lynn Washington Kelly

Adrian Lynn Washington Kelly was born to the late Ethel Mae Washington and the late John Rubit in New Orleans LA. on July 3, 1962. She was a native of Avondale LA. and a resident of Harvey LA.  Adrian grew up in Avondale/Waggaman where she attended Avondale Garden Elementary School and John H. Martin High School. She was a faithful employee of Boomtown Casino for 20 years until she retired for medical reasons. She accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age by the late Rev. John H. McNeely at Second St. John Baptist Church in Avondale where she sang in the junior choir. Adrian had a loving spirit and never met a stranger. She departed this life on Thursday, January 1st, 2026, at her home in Harvey surrounded by her family and friends.

Adrian is the devoted mother of Rhonieka Washington, grandmother of Sebe Edwards, Kulani and Cashmere Washington. Her grandchildren call her "MawMaw", and she loved them dearly. She is the sister of Charmaine Washington, Marie Sigler, Iris Ponson, Joan Michelle (Nelson), Pearl Ann Rubit and the late Anasthasia Marie Johnson, Joan Washington Surgent, LaVina Rubit, and Terrence Washington. Godmother of Aldaro Russell. Devoted friend of Michelle Firven, Gary Birden and Christine Bibbins. Adrian is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends whom she loved deeply. She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents, and other relatives.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA. 70037. The visitation will begin at 9:30AM followed by a 11am service.
