Anna Alina Barthelemy Ancar entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the age of 88.
Anna leaves to cherish her memories to two daughters, Sandra Encalade and Arika Ancar; two grandsons, Brandon Victor and Jordan "Buddie" Encalade (Elizabeth); seven great-grandchildren, Zoie Amanyah, Cambrie Elizabeth, Aubrey LeeAnn, Amiyah Lynn, Brayden Lee, Pearl Anna and Margaret Alice; her sister Grace LaCross (Wilbert); Godchildren Marcie Kinloch, Kevin "Chick" Bartholomew, Francelia Barthelemy, Laura Bartholomew, and Christina Garrison and a hosts of nieces, nephews and relatives.
Anna is preceded in death by her husband Wilmer "Weet" of 50 years, her parents Felician and Agnes Barthelemy; her sister Alvina Ancar; son-in-law Leander Encalade; brothers-in-law, Winnie Ancar, Sr., and Curry Ancar, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Bernadette (Cottee) Bartholomew and Mazie Ancar; and Nephew Curry Ancar, Jr.
Anna was a life-long resident of Plaquemines Parish and a devoted parishioner of St. Jude and St. Patrick Churches. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, playing Bingo, and visiting with her friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday October 22, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28698 LA-23, Port Sulphur LA. 70083 beginning at 10AM. Father Lawrence will celebrate the mass.
