Vera Ernestine Marshall Brue entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Canon Hospice of Jefferson LA, she was 89 years old. She was born in Magnolia, MS and relocated to New Orleans, LA at an early age and has been a resident of Marrero, LA., since Hurricane Katrina.

Daughter of the late Early and Bertha Wiley Marshall. Wife of the late Lawrence W. Brue. Loving and devoted mother of Michelle Brue Burl. Devoted mother-In-law of Pastor Reginald H. Burl Sr.  Sister of the late Milton, Cicero, Leodia, Manuel Sr., Willie, Alton, Clyde, and Eugene Marshall, Artis Marshall, Ora and Beatrice M. Norwood. Grandmother of Reginald H. (Timedra) Burl Jr. of Marietta, Ga., Chelsey Burl of Wheaton, Md. and the late Krischel Burl. Great grandmother of Khloe K. Burl. Deceased also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastor, Officers and members of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, First Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Empire La., Christian Ministers Missionary Baptist Association of Plaquemines Parish, Cornerstone Missionary Baptist General Association and Wynhoven Retirement Apartment Living are invited to attend the “Celebration of Life” services on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 2805 General Taylor St. New Orleans, LA 70115 at 10 AM. Visitation begins at 8:30 AM. Dr. Moses S. Gordon II officiating. Entombment will follow at Lake Lawn Cemetery in Metairie, LA.
