Rutha Mae Jones

Rutha Mae Jones departed this life on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at West Jefferson Hospital. She was 74 years old. Rutha was born on August 29, 1943 and was baptized on February 24, 1957 by the late Steve Griffen at Little Zion Baptist Church. She later placed her membership at the Rock of Ages Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Frazier. She was a loving and kind person. Everybody she met fell in love with her. She loved fishing on her free time.

Daughter of the late Henry and Idella T. Reado Sr. Wife of the late Holloway Jones Sr. Mother of Denise, Antwinette, Katina (Robert), Terron (Monica), Wyndell Sr. and the late Renette Patterson. Sister of Norman (Denise) Reado and the late Henry Jr. and Joseph Reado. Granddaughter of the late Connley and Lillie M. Triggs. Deceased is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by two son-in-law Leon Smith Sr. and Eddie Robinson and two grandchildren Preshon Patterson and Adam Neville.   

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Rock of Ages Baptist Church 6533 Acre Rd. Marrero, LA 70072 at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Pastor Gilbert Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Cemetery Avondale, LA.
