Ross Vaughn, Jr. a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the age of 73. Ross was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and served in the United States Army.

 He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Brandon Vaughn, (7) sisters Angella and Lula Mae Vaughn, Glenda (Benny) Rayford of Downey, CA, Ruby Shuff, Jacquelyn Vaughn, Janice Wright of McComb, MS, and Leeander (Melvin) Ray. (1) Aunt, Barbara Frazier.  Deceased is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine Duncan Vaughn and Ross Vaughn, Sr., two brothers, James Hilton and Noil Morris Vaughn, two sisters, Irene Vaughn and Joycelyn Vaughn-Santa Marina.

 Family and friends as well as residents of King Rampart Senior Living, members of Peoples Program of New Orleans, James Chapel Baptist Church and surrounding churches, employees of United States Postal Service, Xavier University, DACO, LLC are invited to attend his “Home Going Celebration” on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 10am at Israelites Baptist Church, 2100 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in New Orleans. Visitation begins at 9am.  Interment will be privately held at Providence Memorial Park in Metairie La. at a later date.
