Roger Dale de-la-cruz departed this life on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his home in New Iberia, LA at the age of 72. He was a lifelong resident of Buras, LA until relocating to New Iberia after Hurricane Katrina. Roger Dale was a well-known gifted cosmetologist and master seamstress who spent many years making people look and feel great with the beautiful and creative garments he enjoyed making for family and friends.
He was the beloved son of the late Willie de-la-cruz and Thelma Frelich de-la-cruz. Beloved life partner of William Hoyt. Brother of Willie Mae de-la-cruz Landry, Diana de-la-cruz Jakubielski, Angie de-la-cruz Buras, Barry, Billy Ray and Dennis de-la-cruz, the late Denise, Avery, Blane Joseph and Valerie de-la-cruz. Deceased also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends who loved him dearly.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Missionary Catholic Church Empire, LA at 11 a.m. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 a.m. Father Gerald Stapleton officiating.
