Patricia Ann DeMolle Buie departed this life on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, La. She was 71 years old and was a lifelong resident of Empire, La. until relocating to Hammond in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Daughter of the late Dennis Encalade and Oliva DeMolle Mitchell. Wife of the late James Buie Jr. Devoted companion of Thomas Leon Hudnall. Beloved mother of Frances (Dwayne) Anderson, Trenese (Alex) George, Brian (Leslie) Buie, Corey (Mandy) Buie, and the late James (late Tracy) Buie III and Evangeline Buie. Sister of Adam (Gail) Encalade, Calvin (Earline) Encalade, Laverne (Harold) Jones, Nellie Ann (James) Perkins, Cheryl (Joe) Grey, Barbara (Joseph) Brown, Mary Raye, Edward (Augerinne) Encalade and the late Felix (Emelda) Encalade and Clem Mitchell. Deceased is also survived by a host grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends both in Empire and Hammond, La.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28698 Hwy 23 in Port Sulphur, La. 70083 at 11 AM. The visitation will begin at 9 AM. Father Gerald Stapleton will celebrate the Mass. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery in Buras, La.
