Nelson Clarence 'Brother' Williams Jr. departed this life on Friday August 24, 2018 at Ferncrest Manor Nursing Home surrounded by his love ones. He was 66 years old and was a longtime resident of Poet Sulphur La. before relocating to Violet La. He was a Lieutenant with Plaquemines Parish Sheriff Department, a lifetime member and former president of the Point-Ala-Hache Volunteer Fire Department. He was also employed with Plaquemines Parish Government drainage department as a pump operator and also served as a deacon at Bethlehem African Judea Missionary Baptist Church in Bohemia La. Beloved son of the late Nelson C Williams Sr. and Gloria Turner Williams. Devoted husband of the late Angele Duplessis Williams. Beloved father of Shannon (Otis) Mackey, Nelson (Angelle) and Trevor (Trekira) Williams, Martha (Pricisllia) Rodgers, Janiero (Gilyia) Baxter and Shermaine (Don Powell) Barthelemy. Brother of Charles (Jill) Williams and the late Mariylnn (Joseph) Ragas, Floria (late Wilfred) Cross and Angelic (late Lewis) Reddick. Godfather of Yoland Brown, Gregory Ingraham and Lanoka Cross. He was also raised by the late Wilma Parker. Deceased is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. Relatives and friends of the family, officers and member of Bethlehem African Judea B.C., Bethlehem B.C. of Braitwaite La, and all neighboring churches of Plaquemines and St. Bernard Parish, officers and members of the PALH Volunteer Fire Dept., Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Dept and Plaquemines Parish Drainage Dept. are all invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Bethlehem African Judea Missionary Baptist Church 19266 Highway 15 Point-Ala-Hache, LA 70082 at 11 a.m. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Brandon Keith Cross officiating.
