Nakia Houston

Nakia “Boo Boo” Jaron Roderick Houston, a native and lifelong resident of Boothville, LA, departed this life on Friday, January 11, 2019 at The Sanctuary Passages Hospice in New Orleans La. He was 41 years old.

Beloved son of the late Leon Houston Jr. and Gwendolyn Ione Powell Houston. Devoted brother of Leon (RaeNell) Houston III. Makia O . (Kenneth Sr.) Houston Johnson and the late Charmaine (Late Myron) Houston Smith. Grandson of the late Winston Powell Sr., Brunetta Irma Jones Powell, Leon Houston Sr. and Jeanne Houston. Nephew of Winston (Linda) Powell Jr., Brunetta Powell Thomas and Willie Mike Houston. Great nephew of Lois Jones Tate and Richard Jones. Godson of Diana Green and Clyde Jones Sr. Uncle of Adrienne and Andria Smith, Theodore Ezento, Kenneth Johnson Jr. and Raelynn Houston. Great uncle of Kingston Minor. Deceased also survived by a host of cousins, friends and other devoted relatives.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church located at 39752 Hwy 23 Boothville, LA at 11 a.m.  Visitation will begin at 9 a.m.  Dr. Theodore Turner Jr. officiating.  Entombment will follow in Tropical Bend Memorial Park Empire, LA.

The family will also receive guest for a visitation on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 6p.m.- 8p.m. at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 Hwy 23 Belle Chasse, LA 70037.
