Merlin Casmir "Mad Dog" Encalade, departed this life on Monday July 2, 2018 at Our Lady Of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge La. He was 57 years old and a native and lifelong resident of Davant La. Beloved son of Lillian "Killer" Narcisse Edwards and the late John V. Encalade. Stepson of Eugene "Jelly" Edwards. Beloved father of Aja Barthelemy (Josh) Mackey. Stepfather of Naja Barthelemy. Brother of Zachary Narcisse, Rosalind Narcisse, Marnita (Randy) Johnson, Shawn and Sharon Encalade. Deceased also survived by 2 aunts, 3 uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday July 13, 2018 at St. Thomas Catholic Church located at 17605 Hwy 15 Point-Ala-Hache La 70082 beginning at 11 A.M. Visitation will begin at 9 A.M. Entombment will follow in the church's cemetery.
