Martha Ann (Wallace) Thomas

Martha Ann Wallace Thomas transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Gretna. She was 78 years old.

Beloved daughter of the late Julia Sparks and Willie Wallace. Devoted mother of Lawrence Michael (Marcia) Thomas, Troy (Lizette) Thomas, Eric (Tracey) Thomas, and Hope Bell. Loving grandmother of Ashley James (Genevieve) Thomas, Tai Battle, Cody Thomas, Eric Thomas, Jr., Quinn Scott, and Nia Woodside. Great-grandmother of Olivia Thomas and Cody Thomas, Jr. Sister of Melvin Smith, the late Leonard Lightell, Sr., and Haywood Johnson, Sr. She was also a mother-in-law figure to Elgin Woodside.

Also left to mourn her passing but celebrate her life are several devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, the Pastor, officers and members of the St. Paul Missionary B.C., and Household of Faith Church are invited to attend the Celebration of Life service on Friday, May 4, 2018 at St. Paul Missionary B.C. located at 133 Bradish Street, Ironton, LA. at 10:00 A.M. Visitation will begin at 8:30 A.M. Pastor Haywood Johnson is the host pastor and Pastor Antoine M. Barriere of Household of Faith Church will officiate. Entombment will follow in Ironton Cemetery.
