Leonard Lee “Bailey” Harvey passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Ochsner Main Campus Hospital at the age of 71. He was born on March 5, 1946 in East Pointe a la Hache, LA. He retired from Electro Coal of Davant, LA in 2001 after 30+ years. He was currently employed at Walmart as the door greeter.  He was a man of God and treated everyone as family.

  He was the son on of the late Rev. Livingston and Alverta Harvey. Leonard was the husband of 47 years to Edna T. Harvey. Devoted father of Troy Sr. (Kim), Travis (Teryl) and Jamise Harvey. He was the loving grandfather of Troy, Jr. (Jelisa) and Tarrah Harvey, and Jamar Newell.  Step-grandfather to Tierany and Kory Demolle and John Franklin. He was the great-grandfather of four. Brother of Morris (Gwendolyn) Harvey and Alain (Emile) Foster, and the late Livingston, Jr., Walter, and Johnny Harvey. Brother-in-law of Irvin, Jr. (Joyce), Barry (Linda), Perry, and Williamson (Tanya) Turner, and Tanna (Dominic, Sr.) Barthelemy.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

 Relatives, family and friends, also members of Bethlehem African Judea Baptist Church, St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, employees of Walmart, Plaquemines Parish Council on Aging, Halliburton Company, Daybrook Fisheries, and Jefferson Parish Government are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11 am at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, 27796 Hwy 23, Port Sulphur, LA. Visitation begins at 9 AM. Rev. Mandrel Pansy host Pastor. Dr. Darnell Smith pastor of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Roxie James Cemetery.

Family and friends are also invited to attend a visitation at Robinson Family Funeral Home, 9611 Hwy 23 Belle Chasse, LA on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 6 pm – 8 pm.
