Joyce Marie “Mutta” Encalade departed this life on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Riverbend Nursing and Rehab Center. She was 75 years old and a lifelong resident of East Point-Ala-Hache, LA.

Daughter of the late Hypolite and Mary Ilene Demolle Encalade. Beloved mother of Rodney, Tyrone, Kevin, Wardell, Hal (Cynthia) and Polly Encalade, Jason (Shelly) Reddick and Lizette (Troy) Thomas. She also raised Joseph, Reginald and Gerald Reddick and Kearston Battle. Sister of Thelma Encalade. Predeceased by 6 sibling and also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friend.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Catholic Church located at17605 Hwy 15, Pointe ã La Hache, LA 70082 on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Father Michael Libre officiating. Entombment will follow in the church’s cemetery.
