Jospeh Milton Lumas Sr.

Joseph Milton Lumas Sr. departed this life on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Belle Vie Living Center in Gretna, La. He was 75 years old, a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. He was a Retiree of International Marine of Gretna, La.

Son of the late Clarence “Frenchie” Lumas and Loraine Keller Lumas of Vacherie, La. Husband of the late Mable Ann Wiggins Lumas. Beloved father of Linda A. Lumas MaGee, Caroyln V. Lumas-Small, Tuwanda F. Lumas, David J. Lumas Sr. and the late Ina Marie Lumas and Joseph Milton Lumas Jr. Brother of Stella “Lou” Lumas Thompson, Jessie Lumas Felix, Mary “Ethel” Lumas Rogers and the late Anna Mae Lumas Walker. Deceased is also survived by a host of other children whom he cherished with equal adoration, several grand and great grandchildren, godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church located at 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA 70072. Visitation will begin at 8 am. Celebration of Life will begin at 9:15 am. Father Eugene Jacques Pastor. Deacon Charles Allen Celebrant.
