Jo-Ann Hooper passed away on January 16, 2018 after a year long battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving and supportive husband Lawrence “Captain Hoop” Hooper of Empire, LA and her three children Candyce English of Hickory, KY, Kelly Kobrock of Eagle Lake, TX, and James Hresko of Metropolis, IL, and her two step-children Kelly Fecteau and Tammy LeBelle of Connecticut. She is also survived by two foster children Rosemary Darnell of Narvarre, FL, and Janelle Provino of Lake Worth, FL. She also has 11 grandchildren Stormy Burkhart of Murray, KY, Montana Brooks and Daniel English of Hickory, KY, Dakota Copeland and Mary “Michelle” English of Eagle Lake, TX, Austin Hresko of Louisville, KY, Mahailee Jo Parker of Metropolis, IL, Destiney Chesher of Pensacola, FL, Ally and Amanda Fecteau and Quinn LeBelle of Connecticut. She has 5 great-grandchildren Kyra English, Brooke and Abigail Smith, Dre’vaughn Burkhart and Landon Hardison. 
She’s preceded in death by her parents Bettye-Jo and James Martin, and Joseph Benvenuto, two brothers, George Martino and James Martin, and a sister, Barbara Rabis. She has several sisters and a brother who reside in Connecticut.
Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 20th at Trinity United Methodist Church in Buras, LA.
