Welcome to the memorial page for

Heriberto Avila

June 25, 2017 ~ August 31, 2017

Heriberto “Eddie” Avila was born June 25, 1952 in his beloved island of Puerto Rico.

Eddie was a very passionate soul. He embraced life and everything that came along with it.  He was adventurous and fun to be around, always the heart of the party.

It was often that Eddie put aside his aches and pains, his sadness and worries to lift up others and inspire hope.

His family was his life.  Birthdays and holiday celebrations were always extra specials times.  His children loved him. The grandchildren adored him and looked up to Grandpa Eddie.

One thing that Eddie truly loved were those trips he took to the mountains in East Tennessee with his wife Odette.  It was there that he was able to experience the peace and tranquility that he had so longed for.

However, the Lord had plans for a better place for Papa Eddie.

On Thursday, August 31, 2017 Heriberto Avila passed away quietly and peacefully.

He had complete confidence in the promises of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and looking forward to hearing the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord”. Matthew 25:23

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we, which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the lord in the air: and so we shall ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with these words. 1Thes. 4:16-18 Heriberto Avila is survived by his devoted wife Odetta Avila, his loving children Heriberto Avila, Jr. (Milinda), Alvin Avila, Ineliz Avila (Darwin), step children Norberto Cordero, Angel Cordero (Vickie Martinez Cordero), Ariel Cordero, siblings German Avila, Jr. Melisander Avila, Hiran Avila, grandchildren are Jonathen, Migdalia, Selena, Rylen, Noah, Dominic, Renee, Julie, Karlena, Jaylea, Braylen, Darwin, Dareliz, Miliane, Harod, Sergio Cordero, “Tony” Marc A Cordero.
