Fred Wade Brooks Jr.

Fred Wade Brooks Jr. was born on July 27, 1933 in Wallace, LA to the late Annie Williams and Fred Wade Brooks Sr. He departed this life peacefully with his beloved wife Antoinette Powell Brooks at his bedside on Friday October 12, 2018 at his home in Waggerman, La. He was 85 years old.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Second St. John Baptist Church 242 Avondale Garden Rd. Avondale, LA 70094 at 10 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Pastor Charlie R. Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park in Avondale, LA. 

In addition to his wife, Mr. Brooks is survived by 7 children, 1 stepdaughter, several grand and great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
