Francella Holmes

Francella Holmes departed this life on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She was 87 years old and a native of Waterproof, La. She was a proud member and deconess at the loving faith Baptist Church of Gretna, La until moving to South Carolina and joining the Royal Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Issac Holt.

Daughter of the late Walker and Cora Holmes. Devoted mother of Minister Cora (Darryl) Madere of Mesquite Texas, Pearlie (Eddie) Gills of Monroe Louisiana, Marilyn (Marvin) McDowell, Carolyn (Anthony) Trinity, Johnny and Calvin Holmes all of Gretna Louisiana, Zelda Holmes and Joseph Holmes of Charleston South Carolina, Acquine (Twilyn) Holmes of Lafayette, La and the late Ester Senexant and Kirby Holmes. Sister of the late Connie Bowman, Walker Holmes Jr., L.H. Holmes, Augusta Campbell, Katherine Thompson and C.M. Holmes. Deceased also survived by a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Loving Faith Baptist Church 45 5th St, Gretna, LA 70053 at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale, La.
