Evangeline Marie Buie departed this life on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond.  She was 55 years old and a native of Empire La. and was a resident of Hammond La. since Hurricane Katrina.

Beloved daughter of Patricia Ann Buie and the late James L. Buie Jr. Loving mother of Aaron Buie, Adaline Buie, Jennifer Encalade and Ariane Encalade.  Devoted Grandmother of Jai-Mahid Buie, Evanee , Keegan, Labrandon and Damariel Encalade. Sister of Frances (Dwayne) Anderson, Trenese B. (Alex) George Jr., Brain (Leslie) Buie, Corey (Mandy) Buie and the late James (late Tracy) Buie III. Deceased also survived by a host of Godchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of  North Oaks Hospital, Plaquemines Parish School Board and Tangipahoa Parish School Board are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Robinson Family Funeral Home, 9611 Hwy 23 Belle Chasse, LA 70037 at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 9 AM. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Memorial Park in Empire, LA.
