Danielle Marie ‘Tubby’ Davis was called to glory on Saturday, January 19, 2019. She was 44 years old and born on January 19, 1975 in New Orleans, La. to Mrs. Willie Dean Encalade and Mr. Michael Raymond Davis Sr. She graduated from O. Perry Walker High School Class of 1993 in New Orleans, La. She was baptized at Regular Baptist Church in Gretna, La under the leadership of the late Pastor Daniel J. Powell. She Later joined True Vine Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jesse L. Guice in San Antonio, Texas.
She leaves to cherish her memories her two sons, Andre’ Jr. and Damion Randolph. Her parents Willie (Leroy) Encalade and Michael (Sandra) Davis Sr. The love of her life, her granddaughter Ava Mo’Nae (Tink-Tink) Randolph. Her grandmother Oradee Smith. Four siblings Chanelle Davis, Michael (Yoaki) Davis Jr. of North Carolina, Chrishon Cannon-Encalade and Tyrell Price-Encalade. Her companion Johnathan Walker of San Antonio, Texas and eight stepchildren. Four Aunts Elnora Mahoney, Donna (Lance)Brown and Shenieta (Lee) Smith-Coleman of Dallas Texas, and Honorary Aunt Jackie Charles Clark. Five uncles Jasper and Johnathan (Marilyn) Smith, Ray (Sonita), Keith and Ronald Davis. Four nieces Cherrelle (Goddaughter), Tranelle, Shamari and Shajany Davis. One nephew Terrell Davis. Godson Sgt. Clayshod Johnson and her best friend of 28 years Danielle Smith. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Albertha Harrison Davis, great grandmother Willie Mae James, grandfather Ray Davis Sr, great grandfather Odell James Sr., aunt Barbara Ann Smith, two uncles Ray Samuel Smith Sr., and Peter Smith.
Relatives and friends of the family also Pastor, officers and members of Fisher Community Church, Regular Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Fisher Community Church 1737 L. B. Landry Blvd. New Orleans, La. 70114 at 10 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Rev. James Nelson Brown host Pastor, Rev. T. A. Hodges of Regular Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery 1225 Whitney Ave. Gretna, LA 70056.
