Courtney Thaddeus Severe

Dr. Courtney Thaddeus “Fuse” Severe was born to Dr. Peggy C. Severe and the late Jerome Alexander.  He was born in New Orleans, LA on July 22, 1971. He departed this life on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at his home. He was 46 years old and spent most of his life in Hollygrove. Courtney accepted Christ at an early age at Our Lady of Gualoupe (St. Jude) and he then converted to Baptist in 2017 at First Emmanuel Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories his Fiancée’ Shanell James, one sister Lynnell Carter (Richard) Scott, one brother Jerome D. (Lillian) Severe, two great aunts Mary R. Kelly and Mable Rogers, three uncles Ronnie Moore, Terry Moore and Gaylord (Rosalind) Mustin, three aunts Daphne (Wesley) Hollingsworth Sr., Gail Moore Steen and Cynthia Jean Moore. Deceased also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also Pastors and officers of First Emmanuel Baptist Church, Our Lady of Gualoupe (St. Jude) and all surrounding churches, Katie’s Alumni Chapter, Sigma Nu Theta National Fraternity, Theta Nu Sigma National Sorority, Louisiana State Beauticians and Barbers Association INC.,  are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, July 30, 2018 at First Emmanuel Baptist Church 1829 Carondelet St. New Orleans, LA 70130 at 11 A.M. Visitation will begin at 10 A.M. Pastor Charles Southall III officiating. Internment will be in Providence Memorial Park Metairie, LA.
