Carolyn Sapp Obituary

Carolyn ‘Kelly’ Taylor Sapp   peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Riverbend Nursing Home in Jesuit Bend La. surrounded by her love ones.  She was 97 years old and a lifelong resident of Boothville La.  Sister Sapp was a longtime member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Boothville where she served as a Deaconess and Missionary. She was also a longtime member of the Christian Ministers Missionary Baptist Association and The Southeast National Regional Missionary Baptist Youth Conference where she served as the National Youth Director. She was a true servant of God who never passed on an opportunity to witness for the Lord.

Daughter of the late Saxon and Ellen Jones Taylor Sr. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Elby Sapp. Devoted Mother of Eugene (Ruby), Murve (Stella), James (Gloria), and Edward (Geraldine) Sapp, Maxine (Charlie) Brown and Juanita (Robert) Hamilton. Sister of Louis Taylor and the late Antione, Saxon Jr., Haspel Sr. and Clarence Taylor Sr., Theresa Mackey, Margarite Rogers and Antionette Coleman. She is also proceeded in death by her son-in-law Larry Hamilton, one grandchild and three great great grandchildren. Deceased is survived by 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 19 great great children, 4 daughter-in-law and 2 son-in-law.

 Relatives and friends of the family as well as pastors, officers and members of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church as well as all surrounding churches of Plaquemines, Jefferson and St. Bernard Parishes, President and cabinet of the Christian Ministers Baptist Association, and the Southeast National Regional Missionary Baptist Youth conference are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 39752 Hwy 23 Boothville, LA 70038 at 11 A.M. Visitation will begin at 9 A.M. Dr. Theodore Turner Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Tropical Bend Cemetery Empire, LA.

The family will receive guest for a musical tribute on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 Hwy 23 Belle Chasse, LA 70037 from 7p.m. until 10 p.m.
