Welcome to the memorial page for

Andrew Whittikki

December 15, 2017

Andrew Whittikki of Belle Chasse, Louisiana passed away st 9:35 a.m., on December 15, 2017, of natural causes at the age of 56. Andy was a wonderful son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He grew up in Savannah, Georgia where his mother still resides. He worked hard as an HVAC service technician and brought his experience to the team at Ideal Appliance Parts Inc. in Gretna, LA where he has served as a parts technician for the last few years.

He was an avid reader and wordsmith who loved crossword puzzles. He played darts and was an enthusiastic bodybuilder in his youth. Above all, his family was very important to him and he loved his son, mother, sisters and all his family members, near and far, fiercely.

Andy’s Faith in Jesus was his foundation. His work ethic and sense of humor were his most valuable qualities and his desire to assist others was just one of his many endearing characteristics. To be the best father he could to his youngest son, Andy remained in the Belle Chasse area through the final years of his life. Though he will be greatly missed, he will always be present in the hearts and minds of all who knew him. We love you always, Andy-Bo!

Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Whittikki, his maternal grandfather, Wiley Blanton, and maternal grandmother Essie Mae Blanton (Smith). He is survived by his son, Andrew R. Whittikki, his mother, Barbara Whittikki (Blanton), two sisters, Marie Griffith (David) and Donna Kaplan (Michael), a niece (Serena), two nephews (Kevin and Daniel), an Uncle (Warren Blanton) and many cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial service on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11 AM at Christian Fellowship 3928 McArthur Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70114.
We would like to extend a special thanks to Andy’s coworkers at Ideal Appliance Parts for their consideration and response to his needs, and also to the sheriff's department and coroner's office for their rapid and caring communications.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that any contributions be made to-
