Andrew Mackey Obituary

Andrew Mark Mackey departed this life on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his home in Port Sulphur La.  He was 87 years old and was a native and lifelong resident of Nairn La.

Son of the late Felix and Harriet Edgerson Mackey. Husband of the late Eva Lindsey Mackey. Devoted father of Jennifer Mackey Ulmer (Minister Gerald Ulmer Sr.)  Grandfather of Jasmine E. Pansy (Pastor Mandrel Pansy Sr.), Gerald Ulmer Jr. and Jalen Ulmer. Great grandfather of Mandrel Pansy Jr. and Mason Pansy. Brother of the late Albert Mackey, Felix Jr., McKinley, William, August Sr., Alfred Sr., Henry and Walter Mackey, Bertha Jones, Gertrude Griffin, Octavia Turner and Dora Smith. Deceased also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends who helped care for him during his illness,

Relatives and friends of the family, as well as members of Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Greater Macedonia B.C., Greater Morning Star B.C. and all neighboring churches of Plaquemines and St. Bernard Parish and employees of Nairn Concrete and  Livaudais Middle School are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church located at 27954 Highway 23,  Port Sulphur, Louisiana 70083 at 12:30 P.M. Visitation will begin at 10:30 A.M. Pastor Allen Johnson officiating. Internment will follow in Mackey Cemetery Port Sulphur, LA.
