Alvina Barthelemy Ancar departed this life on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Belle Vie Living Center in Gretna, LA surrounded by her loving family. She was 80 years old and a lifelong resident of Port Sulphur, LA.
Daughter of the late Felician and Agnes Barthelemy. Devoted wife of the late Curry Leonard Ancar. Beloved mother of Joyce (Adam) Sylve, Stephanie (Irvin) St. Ann, Curry (LaToiya) Ancar and Jody Ancar. Sister of Anna Ancar and Grace (Wilbert) Lacross. Sister-in-law of Winnie (late Mazie) Ancar. Deceased is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church 28698 Hwy 23 Port Sulphur, LA at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Father Gerald Stapleton Celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
