Alegar Michelle “Leggie” Gibson departed this life on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was 31 years old.

Daughter of the late Peter and Elaine Turner Gibson. Fiancée’ of Erik Magee. Devoted mother of Kaiden Watts and the late Domine’yone Gibson. Loving sister of Debbie Gibson and Shaketha Brown. Goddaughter of Evelyn Rose and Donald Turner. Sister-in-law of Sterling Higginbotham, Darren Brown and Ebony Magee. Aunt of Dyontai Barthelemy, Da’ Jon Brown and Eyan Hardges. Godmother of Shacrisha Lafrance and Alyssia Avis. Deceased also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church located at 277796 Hwy 23 Port Sulphur, LA at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Pastor Mandrel Pansy officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Memorial Park, Empire, and LA.
