Antoine Smith

Antoine Smith affectionately known as "Tony" departed this life on Saturday, March 30, 2024, in his hometown New Orleans Louisiana. He was a native of Harvey Louisiana who was born to the union of the late Peter & Loretta Brown Smith. On April 11, 1964. Due to the death of his parents, he was raised by the late Ulysses & Bethel Dennis of Harvey Louisiana. Antoine was educated in the Jefferson Parish school system.

Antoine was always a humble kind and compassionate person and had a loving and gentle spirit. He always loved a good game of spades or dominoes and was always the life of the party. He enjoys family time and was employed by Gallo Plumbing Company and the Orleans Parish school system.

Antoine was the father of Michael Lockett, Samyya Antoinette Degree, Antoinette Latoya Degree and Dwayne Degree. Grandfather Za'miriyan Luckett, Malachi Luckett & Sevyn Miller.
Stepson of Marine Smith. Brother of Marvin Smith, Wendell Dennis, Wayne Marcelin, Shawn Jones, Clifford Brown, Quinte Matthews, Helen Williams, Marilyn Brown, Denise Smith, Linda Burton, Louise Burnett and Yolanda Smith Lewis. He is also survived by a host of stepsister's nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Loretta Smith and Ulysses and Bethel Dennis,
four brothers, four sisters and a beloved niece and nephew.

Relatives and friends of the family, also neighboring churches and the Harvey community, are invited to attend the celebration of life service which will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Mount Olive Baptist Church located at 1701 Estalote Ave, Harvey, LA 70058. The visitation will begin at 9:30AM followed by a 11AM service. Pastor Ricky Johnson officiating and interment will be private.
