Zachary Raymond Mitchell, a retired United States Postal Worker of 37 years, departed this life on Monday, January 8, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, LA. Zachary was born on December 3, 1950 and a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA.

Loving Husband of Linda W. Mitchell. Devoted father of Tomika C. Mitchell. Brother of Sonja Thomas, Debbie Ann Mitchell and Tyrone Mitchell. Grandfather of Takiyah C. Mitchell and Isaiah S. Mitchell. Deceased also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Mitchell Sr. and Theresa-Porche- Mitchell and his brother Arthur Mitchell Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church 2515 Franklin Ave. New Orleans, La 70122 at 10 AM. Pastor Fred Luter Jr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 AM.

A visitation will also be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at True Light Worship Center, 1012 Orice Roth Rd. Gonzales, LA 70737 from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Pastor Adrian Claiborne Officiating.
