RICHARD JAMES REED departed this life on Monday January 1, 2018 at Abbeville General Hospital in Abbeville La., he was 39 years old and was a native and lifelong resident of Port Sulphur La. Until relocating to Abbeville in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Beloved husband of Trenice Marie Reddick Reed.  Son of Marie B. Parker and the late Alonzo

Reed Jr.  Devoted father of Jasmend Marie, Yasmend Lynn and Alexus Reed and Keston James Micheal Reddick.  Grandson of the late Adrian and Florentine Parker and Gloria Mackey and Alonzo Reed Sr.  Son in Law of Claudette Reddick.  Stepbrother of Marcus Reed, Alisha Ellis and Elisha Reed.  God brother of Constance Parker.

Deceased is also survived by 11 godchildren, several aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends in both Port Sulphur and Abbeville.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial of Saturday

January 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church located at 8986 Hwy 23 Belle Chasse La. 70037 at  1 PM.  Visitation will begin at 11 AM. Father Kyle Dave will celebrate the mass and the interment will follow in Barthelemy Cemetery in Diamond La.
