PLINIO “BIG ROY” GlLBERTO PAVON SR

Plinio “Big Boy” Gilberto Pavon Sr departed this life on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Ochsner Westbank Hospital. He was 73 years old.

“Big Boy” was a native of Managua, Nicaragua and a longtime resident of New Orleans, La. He was a retired construction worker with E. J. D. Builders.

Son of the late Manuel and Alicia Escobar Pavon. Devoted husband of 45 years to Lucrecia Portobanco Pavon.

Loving father of Plinio G. “Turk” (Susan) Pavon Jr., Linda (Howard) Olsen, Anthony “Tony” (Ashley) Pavon, David (Kelly), Pavon, Alicia (Edwin) Pavon Sosa, Linda (Jairo) Pavon Munoz and Susy Pavon.

Brother of Dalila, Marlene and Manuel Pavon and the late Carmen and Bernard Pavon.

Deceased is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611 Hwy 23 Belle Chasse, LA 70037 at 4:00 P. M. Visitation will begin at 2:30 P. M. Rev Jorge Cortes Officiating. Interment will be private.
