Gladys Baptiste Coleman departed this life on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, La. She was 78 years old and a native of New Orleans, La.

Beloved daughter of Audrey Pollock Martin and the late Rivers Davis Sr. Step-Daughter of John Martin. Devoted Mother of Kenneth (Sylvia) Baptiste, Micheal Baptiste, Linda Baptiste Gordon and the late Olden, David and Morris Baptiste. Sister of Rivers Davis Jr., Wilbert (Joyce) Freeman, Joseph (Raynell) Freeman, John Martin, Daniel (Janette) Martin, Alex (late Sylvia) Martin, Arlene Johnson, Joan Mullen, Margaret Johnson, Audrey (Wallace) Allen and Patricia Butcher. Deceased also survived by 9 devoted grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611 Hwy 23 Belle Chasse, La. 70037, at 11 A.M. Visitation will begin at 9 A.M. Interment will follow in Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale, La.
