GLORIA CATHERINE WASHINGTON MCGEE

Gloria Catherine Washington McGee departed this life on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Ochsner Westbank Hospital, she was 84 years old. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Terrytown. Mrs. McGee was a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and was a retired seamstress for Rutter Rex Sewing Factory. Daughter of the late Walter and Augustine Bell Washington. Beloved wife of the late James J. McGee Jr. Devoted mother of Evangeline and James J. (Felicha) McGee III, Carmen Crawford and the late Sharon Riggelton and Vincent Gino McGee.

Sister of Alvin (late Gwendolyn), Leonard Washington and the late Marian Washington Frye. Deceased is also survived by 17 grandchildren (1 deceased), 29 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Discourse on Saturday, June 24, 2017at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611 Hwy 23 Belle Chasse LA (1 block North of the Belle Chasse Naval Base) at 10 A.M. Visitation will begin at 9 A.M. Brother Ross of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses will officiate. Entombment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery 4000 Norman Mayer Ave in New Orleans.
