Elaine “Big Moma” Turner Gibson departed this Life on Friday, July 14, 2017 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond La, She was 64 years old and lived most of her life in Port Sulphur La until relocating to Hammond after Hurricane Katrina.

Daughter of the late Felix and Anita Manuel Turner. Beloved mother of Debbie (Sterling) and Alegar (Erik) Gibson and Shaketha (Darren) Brown. Grandmother of Dyontai, Da’Jon and Kaiden and the late Domine’yone. Sister of Shirley Weatherby, Betty Sias, Joann Lafrance, Donald, David and Norman Turner and the late Barbar Brewington, Charmaine Isaac, Emmett Marshall, Leander, Alex and Vance Turner.

Deceased also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in law, cousins and other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday July 24, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28683 LA-23 Port Sulphur, La. at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Monsignor Terry Becnel officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Memorial Park at 32550 Highway 23 Empire, La.
