Chauvin Joseph “T Bean” Buras Sr. departed this life on Monday, October 16, 2017 at his home in Venice, LA surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old and was born in Buras, LA on September 9, 1941.

“T-Bean” was a well-known and respected cattleman in lower Plaquemines Parish and had a deep compassion for all animals. He was also a licensed Taxidermy and enjoyed playing the saxophone for his friends and family.

Son of the late Chauvin and Zelonie Ban Buras. Beloved father of Cynthia (Michael) Kent, Scott Simoneaux and Chauvin J. (Jan) Buras Jr. Brother of the late Ione (John) Ratcliff and Isabelle (Late Jimmy) Elliss. Grandfather of Katie Robertson, Michael Kent Jr., Peyton Simoneaux, Caitlynn, Chauvin III and Camdin Buras. Great grandfather of Ignatius Robertson Jr., Levi Kent and Presley Jones. Deceased also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 Hwy 23 Belle Chasse, LA 70037 at 12 noon. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery in Buras, LA.

The Buras Family will also receive guest for a visitation on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the funeral home from 7 PM-10PM.
