Betty Jean Simeon transitioned from this side to be with the lord on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the age of 70.

Daughter of the late Sidney H. Bentley Sr. and Beatrice Williams Bentley. Wife of the late Alvin Simeon. Devoted mother of Arwin (Stacey) and Desmond (Lynnell) Simeon. Grandmother of Arwin Jr., Daja’Nell, Kyrin Cosse, Desmond Jr. and Ayden Simeon. Loving Sister of Sidney (Audrey), Leo (Gloria) Jones, Diane Biemeny, Brenda, James, Cynthia and Pamela Bentley, the late Beverly Riley, Leona Picquet, Sandra Phelps and Linda Bentley. Deceased is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends, 2 brother-in-law and 3 sister-in-law.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, officers and members of St. Joseph Baptist Church and all neighboring churches of Plaquemines, St. Bernard and Orleans Parish, Class of 1966 (Phoenix High), Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Department, Plaquemines Parish Government, Solid Waste Department, Kinder Morgan Terminals and East Bank Community Senior Center are invited to attend funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at St. Joseph Baptist Church Phoenix, La. Pastor August F. Picquet Jr. officiating. Visitation will began at 9 a.m. until funeral time. Internment Cook Cemetery in Phoenix, La.
