Barbara King of New Orleans, departed this life on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Passages Hospice. She was 53 years old. Beloved wife of Byron Thomas. Daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Mae King. Devoted mother of Micheal A. and Mary Elizabeth King. Sister of Betty, Selita, Michelle and Ronald King and the late Joseph, Constance and Lionel King. Deceased also survived by 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Israelite Baptist Church located at 2100 Martin Luther King Blvd. New Orleans, LA. at 10AM. Visitation will begin at 8AM. Entombment will follow at Lakelawn Metairie Cemetery.
