Walter Williams

Walter "Too Sweet" Matthew Williams Jr. was born Friday, March 2, 1973, in New Orleans, LA to the union of Walter Matthew Williams Sr. and Anna Maud Riggins Williams. He departed this life on Friday, March 22, 2024.

Walter grew up in Gretna and Algiers, LA and as an adult he resided in Avondale, LA. Walter received his primary education in the Jefferson Parish Catholic School System and his secondary education in the Orleans Parish School System. He later enrolled at Delgado and earned his associate in business. Walter was the proud owner/operator of Quality Motors Auto Sale LLC.

He was the primary caretaker for his beloved Mother for years even while battling his own personal issues in silence.
He was a fun and loving soul who never met a stranger. He found joy in making people laugh.

Walter's memory will be cherished by his loving Mother Anna Maud Riggins Williams; his only child Havannah London; two grandchildren Melanie London and Euguene Elliott; two brothers Brian Scott and Kenton A. Williams (Raynell); five nieces Kentonisha Harris, Kailyn Williams, Keyshawn Bulter, Keyana Bulter, Keyjira Bulter; three nephews, Kenton Williams, Ricardo Jaminson and Rome Butler; three great-nieces and one great nephew; Maternal Uncles and Aunts Mitchell and Anthony Riggins, Carolyn(Joseph) Shelvin, Wilma (Carl) Covington, Leroy, Joseph(Paula), Clarence(Darlene) Kelly and Beverly(Anthony) Laborie; one Paternal Uncle Jessie Williams Jr. three special cousins Ivory Shelvin, Toni Covington and Rhonda Williams Carter and a host of other cousins, relatives, friends and customers.

Mr. Williams was proceeded in death by his Father Walter Matthew Williams Sr. his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Daisy Gougisha Riggins Sr., his paternal grandparents, Jessie and Leona Hicks Williams Sr., his maternal Uncles and Aunts Joseph, Louis and Carl Riggins, Edna Mae Perry and Geraldine Kelly as well as his only paternal aunt Beverly Ann Williams.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life service which will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Full Life Faith Ministries located at 6951 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072. The visitation will begin at 8 a.m., and the service will begin at 10 a.m. Pastor Tracy Casby Sr., officiating and interment will be private.
