Louise was born on April 10, 1925 to the union of the late Morris Encalarde and Victoria Taylor Encalarde. She was married to the late Thomas Barthelemy, Sr. They were the loving and proud parents of eleven children. She was the daughter- in- law of the late Eugene and Irma D. Barthelemy. Louise was blessed with a large and loving family. She is survived by her children, Bernice Hudson (Ronald), Evelyn, Thomas, Jr., Viola, Eva, and Ivy Barthelemy (Lolita). She was preceded in death by her children Corneilus (Mary) and Irvin Encalarde, Gloria Hooper (James), Emelda Miller (Charles), and Freddie Barthelemy (Nadine).

Sister Louise accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was baptized at Israelite Baptist Church in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Sister Louise was a woman of great faith who loved her family unconditionally. She was a mighty woman of prayer and the Word. Louise was also a worshiper of God. She loved visiting Zion Travelers, St. Joseph, and St. John Baptist Churches. Sister Louise truly loved the Lord and she proudly shared her faith everywhere that she went. She loved singing her jubilees and hymns! Louise was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Phoenix, Louisiana for many years until she joined Agape Fellowship Church where she served for thirty- five years under the leadership of Reverend Robert G. Little III. She remained faithful to her Lord and Savior until the Lord called her home. Louise was adored and loved by her Agape Family. She shared her beliefs, knowledge and wisdom with everyone who was around her. She was the beloved Mother of the Church.

Louise was the grandmother of thirty, the great grandmother of sixty- nine and the great-great grandmother of twenty- seven. She was the sister of Carrie Miller (the late Freddie) , the late Bernice Jiles (Joseph), the late Agnes Encalarde, the late Beulah Thomas (Reverend Diamond Thomas) and the late Joseph Schnexdyner. She was the sister- in- law of Ollie Thomas (the late Etienne), Simone (Courtney), Oliver Barthelemy (Tiffany), Mercedes Juervin, the late Eugene (Lovina) Jr., the late Joseph (Doris Ann) the late Chris (Alice), Irma Barthelemy, the late Leona Narcisse(Paul). She will be forever remembered and cherished by her six children, one sister, two sisters- in- law, thirty grandchildren, sixty- nine great grandchildren, twenty- seven great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sister Louise was a very loving and giving person. Her constant smile, laughter, and love for God and her family and the community will never be forgotten. Her beautiful suits, hats, and heels will be missed. She knew how to dress to impress. Let's not forget her famous fried chicken and eggnog. Louise was the heart of her family. Sister Louise leaves a legacy of love and faith to her family and all of us who were blessed to know her. She is dearly missed by her family, who firmly know that she is now in Heaven with Jesus!

On March 24, 2024, Jesus decided that her earthly journey was over and He called her home. She entered the gates of pearls and walked on the streets of gold. She saw God! She saw
