Herman Edward Sherman, Jr. entered eternal life to be with the Lord on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 07, 2024. Son of the late Herman E. Sherman, Sr. and Gladys Lagarde Sherman. Adored husband of Judy Ann Sherman. Loving father of Sheron Sherman, Sr., Zera Sherman and Tyler Sherman. Devoted Grandfather of Sheron Sherman, Jr. He was the brother of the late Lorraine Sherman Johnson, the late Judith Sherman, the late Noel Sherman, Sr., Diane Sherman, Matilda Sherman Whiten, the late David Sherman and Terry Sherman. Loving Godfather of Terren-Ann Bartholomew, Desiree Penton and Brent "Tae" Boyd, Jr. Survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Herman was a kind and loving person. He was there for anyone that needed assistance or just needed fatherly advice. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. He provided impeccable care to his children and never missed a moment of their lives. He was an avid cook, and everyone loved his food. He made a positive impact on everyone that he encountered, and he was always joking and keeping a smile on everyone's faces.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of life Service which will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 6201 Stratford Place, New Orleans, LA 70131 The visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., and the mass will begin at 11 a.m. Father Pat Collum officiating and entombment will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Belle Chasse, LA.
